Chris Earnest is a Partner in the Houston office of Pay Governance LLC. Chris consults on all aspects of executive and director compensation. He has spent the last 20 years supporting boards and management teams design compensation programs that align pay philosophy, strategy, and performance. He works with both public and private companies of varying size across a number of industries. Chris has particular expertise in oil and gas, the broader energy sector, and engineering and construction. He also works in retail, technology, telecommunications, and mining. The majority of his client relationships are at the Compensation Committee level but involve regular interaction with executive management.
Chris is a graduate of the University of Tulsa where earned his B.A., MBA, and JD while playing football.
Chris was a former Partner at Compensation Advisory Partners for 7 years and a Managing Director in Pearl Meyer’s Houston office where he worked for 10 years. He began is career as a civil attorney in Houston.
Chris is a member of the Texas Bar Association and has spoken frequently for various organizations on topics related to executive compensation.
